Trek of All Trades 2023

The inaugural Trek of all Trades vehicle convoy will be held on 10 September 2023 to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day. The trek is in honour of Joshua Clarke, a local Canberra boy who lost his life to suicide in 2021. This tradie trek is an opportunity to reflect on the lives lost to suicide as well as connecting, having important conversations, continuing to break the stigma surrounding suicide. The “Trek of all Trades” vehicle convoy will kick off from Hall on Victoria St near the show ground at 10 am and weave its way through the streets...

Josh’s Legacy Fundraiser was held again after the success of the first fundraiser in 2022. The evening was a night to reflect on Joshua Clarke’s life and honour the legacy he left behind after his suicide in 2021. Once again, the evening was used to raise awareness of suicide, continue conversations and hear from Josh’s Mum about the impact Josh’s suicide has had on her, their family and their village. This years fundraiser included silent auctions, guest speaker Paralympian Kathryn Ross and MC, Matt Breen. World Suicide Prevention Day 2022 - Shall we go for a walk?

Shall we go for a walk? World Suicide Prevention Day 9km Walk was on 10 September 2022. Approximately 30 people joined the I Got You Village to walk 2 laps of Lake Burley Griffin. Together, the Village walked 2 laps (almost 9km) representing the 9 lives lost a day to suicide. We walked for Joshua Robert Clarke. Our Joshy. Villages that couldn’t meet in Canberra, also met in Wollongong and Brisbane to reflect on the lives lost to suicide.

Josh’s Legacy Fundraiser held by I Got You was an evening that commemorated the life of Joshua Clarke, a 25 year old son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and mate, lost to suicide in April 2021. The I Got You Village came together to hold a fundraising event on 30 April 2022 at Thoroughbred Park. The evening was a time to commemorate Josh, raise awareness of suicide, and raise funds through fun games, raffles and auctions.
